3 posts · Joined 2015. #1 · Oct 13, 2015. Hi all, first time posting here but figured I would give this a shot before calling the dealer this morning. I bought a 2015 GMC Acadia AWD SLT last week. Last night when backing out of driveway I put it into drive and the vehicle seemed to stall. I then put it into park and attempted to start.Started my 2008 Acadia the other day and the best way to describe it would be a ticking noise coming from the engine. Ticking Faster as a press on the accelerator. Its there one day and then gone the next. My 2007 acadia began to take longer to start. I took it to a dealer and they said the fuel pump was getting weak. It's gotten worse so today we replace the fuel pump with a new one. Now the car won't start at all. We've double checked that all the connections and hooked up and clean. There is gas in the tank.

Jul 18, 2013 · the fiilling up/hard start issue is related to overfilling. Over time it causes issues with the valve. I believe there are 2 valves--- one is on top of the gas tank- the 2nd is close to the engine. Usually changing the one by the engine will correct the issue.
