Been looking up and down the internet and I've found plenty of LS swap kits, but so far nothing 4X4 for the 88-98 trucks. Can anyone give me a lead on where to get a kit or any 4X4 specific parts? The 4l80e bone stock will handle any abuse a stock 6.0 can throw at it. If not then L96 + 6Lxx tranny, the L96 and 6l90 will probably take more work to integrate, so it'll be more expensive. I would just get a LS style 4L60E at a minimum. Personally I would ditch the 60E and get a 4L80E though. You could probably trade off the LS1 for an iron 6.0L too, which would work better for the swap. The truck accessories, intake and exhaust manifolds are an easier swap into a truck. The TPI were not a real power full engine. There are a lot of options for power and performance, for you TBI 350. If you are going to do a swap, the easiest swap is a built 383 TBI direct swap crate engine.
