Although if I could swap my 29SF for the 30SF, I could get the 10mm LW barrel for only $130 to accomplish my objectives. The 30SF just did not carry well on my hip. The grip just did not work out regardless that it was an SF. Also, it seems these guns move alot in the holster (blade tech IWB) when walking or moving which a similiar rig in a G19 does not move from my expereince.According to Glock the 30S was designed for the LAPD's SIS and my understanding is they use 230 grain +P HST's in all their 45s. It would make sense to me to run the same ammo. Plus I like Federal HST ammo it is proven in testing and on the street. As for any real differences, you would have to explore the Generation 3's and 4's. The best defense is a good offense, and I'm really offensive. The "30 series" is between the 19/23 and 26/27 size wise, but the is a difference in "feel" even within the "30's".
