I've recently picked up a xds in 45 for summer carry. Glock makes a great gun and I really tried to like them.I know this probably isnt the most fair place to compare since it is a xd forum. But I was all set on the xd-9 service when the salesman showed me a glock 19. Anybody dare to cpmpare the two. Glock wins on the larger amount of factory and after market parts. M&P wins on 3 different size of grip, safety (some ppl prefer). XD wins on closer to 1911 style slimmer grip, and free extras like mag holder come with box.

XD9 fits my hand better but the Glock 19 is more concealable because of the shorter grip. The XD is a pretty slept on gun, its comfortable, easy to shoot, and easier to manipulate than a gen 3 19. That being said, If we Californians had better access to a gen 5, I would probably go with that.

More IMO, not because of the weight difference, but because of the higher bore axis of the XD. A higher bore axis creates more flip. Another reason why I prefer glocks over XD's. I don't own an XDSC, but between my 19 and XD9 service, the XD has more muzzle flip.
