A P229 or the M11-A1 (which is really a P229 9mm without a rail) is your best bet. There is a P229 Carry that was produced. Little bit shorter slide and it has the same type of slide mount to the frame as the P224.

The improved gun has a stronger milled slide, external extractor, eliminated the pinned breech block, higher mag capacity, revised frame (using a rail-less P229), stock night sights and coated internal parts. SIG has done something in 2017 that is going to cause a lot of confusion for a lot of people. In 2017, SIG started calling ALL the P229s, "Compacts". When they aren't really a "compact gun".
