So whenever i want to direct connect to a server so i can have it show up in the recently joined tab and easily download the mods, i type in the ip and the port into the designated boxes and i click connect but nothing happens. Northmens servers are great. They're vanilla+ and the cut servers have small group sizes. They get full though so you will have to be stealthy. Btw, in my experience, 87.8 its usually the default frequency. There's a server that I used to play on, "DayZ Village" that disallows the use of VOIPs, so you have to use radios. It's really nice to use in game comms, and really adds to the experience.Chernarus is still my favorite, but have been spending sometime checking out Esseker and Chiemsee. Both have very good chances of being one of the best modded maps, with great potential and variety in landscapes available in one map. Not many servers right now running Chiemsee map in NA zone (seem more popular in EU).
