Browning a5 problems.

305 posts · Joined 2013. #17 · Feb 4, 2018. I have 3 new A5's and have zero problems with them. I completely stripped them and took all the factory grease out of them before I ever shot them. My buddies had a problem cycling at first but he just left the grease from the factory in it and started shooting it.New Browning A5 feeding issue A few months ago I purchased a new Browning a5 in 16ga. I shot probably about 300 shells through it with no issues whatsoever, but the last two times I took it to the sporting clays course it has been having feed issues.As was mentioned above, there's rarely a reason to totally disassemble an auto-5. It's easy to take the stock off to get to the return spring, and trigger assembly out, and barrel off, and recoil spring assembly. Browning has a new bolt head and extractor. This is a new design got it from Mid West Gun works the part # B1182200A7 and it's cheaper than original. Gun works now no problems. The original bolt extractor has been discontinued.

Looking to get the new production Browning A5. Likely just the standard stalker model model in 3". I have plenty of gas guns and am looking to add an inertia gun to the collection. I'm sure they are great guns. Anyone have one and what are your thoughts?

My suggestion would be to visit the browning site . 1st you should be able to find the date of manufacture and perhaps determine a model . 2nd you can download the manual .read it cover to cover .from there you should be able to disassemble the gun and diagnose the problem .
