I'm certainly not a professional, but I've used Mobil 1 in all my bikes, and they've all shifted better and run cooler once I switched from whatever was in the crankcase before. I hold bike straight up, after it's sat 5 minutes. and fill to middle /top line in glass while holding bike straight up. If you're buying oil just get 4 qrts, just because :grin.
